Union Savings Bank is looking for a Mortgage Sales Manager for our Cleveland, OH branch.

Purpose of the role

A Mortgage Sales Manager is responsible for a company's overall business operations within a particular area or region. Most of the duties will revolve around setting sales targets, creating strategies to boost financial gains, and maintaining an efficient workforce by having the right staff. Furthermore, managers must oversee the progress of sales and profits, evaluate the performance of employees, ensuring they are up to the targets and standards of the company's policies and regulations, conducting assessments, and reporting to the higher administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage day to day operations with direct and indirect loan officers and teams
• Meet regularly with managed employees to provide critical feedback and encouragement
• Recruit, hire, onboard qualified loan officers
• Self-generate referral business from referral partners
• Meet regularly with Realtors, Builders, Financial Advisors, Insurance agents to grow personal and professional network
• Originate conventional and government loans as well as portfolio products
• Assist processing and underwriting team with pipeline
• Develop improved methods of operation that would enhance profitability, efficiency, business development, etc.
• Assist in the preparation of departmental reports such as budgets, strategic plan, etc.
• Oversee the daily and weekly production, activities and performance of loan officers and managers
• Collaborate and coordinate with other department heads (Retail, Compliance, HR, Legal, Property management, etc.)

Education and Experience

• Proven ability to self-generate mortgage loans through referral partners
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field
• Extensive experience in the mortgage lending industry
• In depth knowledge of Federal and State lending laws, compliance and government regulations
• Proven track record to recruit, hire and retain productive sales team
• Ability to generate deposit business is a plus
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
